St Elowen’s Lumen servamus
I

Iris

First Form, Elm

Dreamy, watchful, and quietly inventive. Iris sees things before anybody else does, and it is Iris who first sees the light in the tower. Her mother is French, which will come to matter more than anyone yet knows.

She loves
The hour before anyone else is awake. Words in another language. The half of a thing that is not said aloud.
She fears
Being asked to explain what she has only felt.

What she is not telling you

She notices everything and says almost nothing, and one day she will walk her mother's city for the first time and understand, at last, which half of herself has been quiet all this while.
