St Elowen’s Lumen servamus
Bounds

The Cedar

A towering cedar on the drive, and the furthest a junior girl may go without a mistress.

The drive up to St Elowen's on an autumn afternoon, with the Great Elm at the gate and the house beyond.

No junior girl goes past the cedar without a mistress. You may take this as a rule, or as a dare. St Elowen's has known both. Beyond the cedar is out of bounds, which is, of course, precisely what makes beyond the cedar so interesting.
